Warm lined winter outdoor pants for demanding tours in the arctic cold. Made of durable G-1000 Original and G-1000 HeavyDuty and padded with Supreme Micro Loft. The excellent insulation and many thoughtful details make Polar Bib the perfect reinforcement garment for expeditions and other adventures in severe cold. For example, the braces are attached so that the buttocks can be folded down when using the toilet. Full-length two-way side zippers allow excess heat to escape and make it easier to put on and take off. Two openings with zipper at hip height allow access to pockets in the trousers worn underneath. The trousers also have two spacious leg pockets for a map, a pocket for a multi-tool and a small pocket on the waistband where you can store batteries, for example, so you don’t lose power from them during cold temperatures.

The waistband also has a D-ring on which you can hook on your gloves, a drinking vessel, a knife or a water bottle. The knees are pre-shaped and the back is made of nylon material for extra suppleness. The seat, knees and the lower part of the inner leg are reinforced with G-1000 HeavyDuty. For good visibility in the polar night, reflective bands are attached to the front and back of the calves. The cuffs on the leg can be fixed to the shoe with shoe hooks, so that the trouser leg does not slip up when trudging through deep snow.

G-1000 Heavy Duty

G-1000 is robust, but G-1000 Heavy Duty goes one step further.

It is impregnated on both sides with Greenland Wax and is therefore more durable than ever before. However, since this makes it less breathable than the original G-1000, Fjällräven uses it for products where durability is more important than air permeability. For example, as reinforcement material in places that are subject to particular stress, and for many other bags and backpacks.

Supreme Micro Loft

The synthetic fibre in Supreme Micro Loft material has been developed together with Fjällräven and is one of the best synthetic fibres available today.

The combination of thin and thicker silicon-treated microfibers fills the garment or sleeping bag with air, which in turn provides good insulation. The principle is the same as with down padded products.
